AMY breaks £3m at the UK & Irish Box Office

As audiences continue to flock to see AMY this week, the documentary has gone from strength to strength, becoming the ‘must see’ hit of the summer and one of the highest grossing docs of all time.  It’s even beating acclaimed Oscar winning films at this year’s box office.

So far, AMY has taken £3.1 million at the UK and Irish box office since its release last month, and is on course to become the second highest grossing documentary of all time behind FAHRENHEIT 911.  Heading into its 6th week in Irish and UK cinemas this Friday, it’s still attracting audiences who want to see the critically acclaimed documentary about the singer Amy Winehouse’s life and career.

AMY will surpass director Asif Kapadia’s previous box office smash SENNA in the next week and has already eclipsed the multi-Oscar-winning films WHIPLASH and BOYHOOD along with STILL ALICE at the box office too!
