The brand new poster for The Young Offenders movie has been released ahead of the film’s release on the 16th of September. The new poster features the two main characters, Conor and Jock, and a host of the rave reviews the film has been receiving since it premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh in July.

Inspired by Ireland’s biggest cocaine seizure of €440 million off the coast of Cork in 2007, The Young Offenders is a comedy about two Cork inner-city teenagers, Conor and Jock, who embark on a 160km road trip along the coast on stolen bikes in the hopes of finding an unrecovered bale of coke. Nothing goes to plan and they soon learn that not all plans are idiot proof.

Written and directed by Peter Foott, The Young Offenders has been hailed as “One of the best films I’ve seen in years” by Ryan Tubridy and “An instant classic” by Esther McCarthy of the Sunday World.

The film introduces new talents Alex Murphy and Chris Walley in the title roles along with well known stand-up comedian PJ Gallagher (Naked Camera) and Hilary Rose (Republic of Telly).

See the film in cinemas nationwide with previews on the 10th and 11th of September and the official release on the 16th of September.
