Cardboard Gangsters to Open the Fingal Film Festival Tonight

Cardboard Gangsters is set to open the Fingal Film Festival with a sold out screening at Movies@Swords tonight at 9pm. Dave Byrne, Creative Director of the Fingal Film Festival has said of this years talent, “We are thrilled about the selection of films we have for our Irish and international audience this year. There are some spectacular films lined up.”

Cardboard Gangsters follows the story of a group of young lads in Darndale, led by Jay Connolly (John Connors of Love/Hate fame), who sell drugs to make a living. They set out in a bid to gain more money and power and enter the big leagues of the drug trade. Things begin to unravel quickly as not everyone in Darndale is willing to let these Cardboard Gangsters achieve the notoriety they crave without a fight. Kierston Wareing and Dublin rapper Paul Alwright (Lethal Dialect) also star in this intense drama from director Mark O’Connor.
