EXTRA ORDINARY directors nominated for Bingham Ray New Talent Award at Galway Film Fleadh

Mike Ahern and Enda Loughman, the directors of new Irish supernatural comedy EXTRA ORDINARY have been nominated for the Bingham Ray New Talent Award at this years Galway Film Fleadh.

EXTRA ORDINARY is the debut feature film for the duo who wrote and directed the comedy which will have its Irish premiere at the festival on Saturday 13th July.

The film stars comedian/writer/actress Maeve Higgins (Naked Camera, Inside Amy Schumer), Barry Ward (Jimmy’s Hall, MAZE), Will Forte (Nebraska, Run & Jump), and Claudia O’Doherty (Trainwreck, Love, Inside Amy Schumer) and tells the story of Rose, a sweet and lonely small town driving instructor who must use her supernatural ‘talent’ to save the daughter of a local man from a washed up rock-star looking to use her in a satanic pact that will reignite his fame.

Both Maeve and Will are set to attend the premiere and take part in a post-screening Q&A.  Forte will also take part in an Acting Masterclass the morning of the premiere.

The film which had its world premiere at the renowned SXSW Film Festival earlier this year has been acquired by Good Deed Entertainment’s Cranked Up Films and now looks set for a 2019 theatrical release in the USA.

Produced by Katie Holly (Citadel, Love & Friendship), Mary McCarthy (Mr Foley, Six Shooter), Yvonne Donohoe (Striking Out) and Ailish Bracken (The Queen of Ireland) for Blinder Films, EXTRA ORDINARY is a co-production with Umedia with funding from Screen Ireland, UMedia and Inevitable Pictures.

Wildcard Distribution will be releasing the film in Irish cinemas later this year.
