GOLD director Niall Heery to appear at Irish Film New York
Niall Heery, director of the upcoming comedy-drama GOLD, will be guest of honour at Irish Film New York this Friday 3rd October where his film will be opening the festival.
The screening, which takes place at 7:30pm at NYU’s CantorFilmCenter, will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker.
The 2014 edition of IFNY will be showcasing six Irish feature films, including Brendan Muldowney’s Love Eternal, as well as hosting a retrospective on the work of director Jim Sheridan.
IFNY’s mission is to help Irish films and filmmakers find a market in the United States by fostering partnerships between Irish and US-based film institutes. It connects producers and directors and holds many film screenings and Q&As with filmmakers throughout the year. IFNY hosted its inaugural annual Irish Film Festival at NYU’s CantorFilmCenter in September 2011
