Good Luck to all the Wildcard IFTA Nominees!

The Irish Film and Television Awards take place this weekend and everybody at Wildcard Distribution would like to wish the nominees from Wildcard titles the very best of luck!

In total five of our film titles (Mammal, A Doctor’s Sword, The Land of the Enlightened, Get Up & Go and Ghosthunters On Icy Trails) have received IFTA nominations.

The current release MAMMAL received two IFTA nominations for its lead actors Academy Award® nominated Rachel Griffiths and ADIFF Discovery Award winner Barry Keoghan while the films writer/director Rebecca Daly is up for the Rising Star award.

In the George Morrison Feature Documentary category both A DOCTOR’S SWORD (Bob Jackson, Gary Lennon) and upcoming release THE LAND OF THE ENLIGHTENED (Morgan Bushe, Bart Van Langendonck) received nominations.

Gemma Leah-Devereux received a nomination in the Supporting Actress category for her role in GET UP & GO which tells the story of a group of friends in Dublin at the wrong end of their 20’s whose dreams of artistic greatness haven’t quite worked out.

Finally GHOSTHUNTERS ON ICY TRAILS has been nominated in the VFX category for the work Irish post-production house Egg did on the film.

The Irish Film & Television Awards will take place on Saturday April 9th in the Mansion House in Dublin.

Mammal is currently screening in Irish cinemas.
