Washington DC audiences will get an opportunity to see Life’s A Breeze as the film opens the Capital Irish Film Festival (CIFF) in the US capital tonight.

CIFF is the largest Irish film festival in the US and is a production of Solas Nua, the only contemporary Irish arts organization in America whose mission is to bring the best new artistic talent from Ireland to American audiences.  The festival runs from today December 5th until December 8th and will screen a host of Irish features, documentaries and short films over the weekend.

This US screening of Life’s A Breeze follows the films UK premiere at the Irish Film Festival London last month and its UK cinema release last week.

Lance Daly’s feel-good film follows a family struggling to stay afloat and stay together through hard times in Ireland. Unemployed slacker Colm (Pat Shortt), his aging mother Nan (Fionnula Flanagan) and his niece Emma (Kelly Thornton) must overcome their many differences to lead their family in a race against time to find a lost fortune.

Life’s A Breeze was produced by Dublin-based Fastnet Films (The Runway, Kisses), with the support of the IFB and BAI and is being distributed in Ireland and the UK by Wildcard Distribution. It is currently available for sale and rent in stores throughout Ireland and on the Wildcard Distribution website.
