Lance Daly’s feel-good comedy Life’s a Breeze has been named Best Feature Length Drama by the Celtic Media Festival ahead of this weekend’s IFTA’s where it is up for two awards.

The family film follows a family struggling to stay afloat and stay together through hard times in Ireland. Unemployed slacker Colm (Pat Shortt), his aging mother Nan (Fionnula Flanagan) and his niece Emma (Kelly Thornton) must overcome their many differences to lead their family in a race against time to find a lost fortune.

The Celtic Media Festival is an annual three-day celebration of broadcasting, film talent and excellence from Scotland, Isle of Man, Ireland, Cornwall, Wales and Brittany. It aims to promote the languages and cultures of the Celtic countries on screen and in broadcasting.

Life’s A Breeze has been nominated for Best Actress for newcomer Kelly Thornton and for Best Supporting Actress for Flanagan at this weekend’s IFTA’s and is currently available for sale and rent in stores throughout Ireland and the DVD can be bought through the Wildcard Distribution website, on Amazon.co.uk and on iTunes.
