Love & Friendship opens today in Cinema Killarney and the Eye Cinema, Galway.

Based on Jane Austen’s comic novella ‘Lady Susan’, the film follows the story of Lady Susan (Kate Beckinsale) who has come to the estate of her in-laws to escape the colourful rumours about her escapades circulating throughout high society. She decides to use her time at the Churchill estate to search for a husband but mishaps ensue as the handsome, eligible Reginald DeCourcy (Xavier Samuel) and silly but cheerful – and very rich – Sir James Martin (Tom Bennett) arrive at the estate. Add in the handsome, but married, Lord Manwaring (Lochlann O’Mearain), and this high society romance begins to get complicated.

Director Walt Stillman brings Austen to the big screen with humour and style and reinvigorates the classic work for a new audience. See it now in Cinema Killarney, the Eye Cinema Galway, and selected cinemas across the country.
