MAMMAL Announced for Audi Dublin International Film Festival
Following on from its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this week, Irish audiences will get a chance to see Rebecca Daly’s MAMMAL when it screens at the Audi Dublin International Film Festival next month.
The film which was enthusiastically received at the renowned North American festival was also one of only five titles to be picked up by the Sundance Channel and was included in Vanity Fair’s Top 10 Films of Sundance.
Starring Academy Award® nominated and Golden Globe® winning actress Rachel Griffiths (Six Feet Under, Muriel’s Wedding) and rising Irish star Barry Keoghan (Love/Hate, ’71) MAMMAL is the compelling story of a woman (Griffiths) who has lost her son and develops an unorthodox relationship with a homeless youth (Keoghan). Their tentative trust is threatened by his involvement with a violent gang and the escalation of her ex-husband’s grieving rage.
Produced by Fastnet Films, MAMMAL also stars Michael McElhatton (Game of Thrones) and Johnny Ward (Love/Hate) and will be also screening at the Rotterdam International Film Festival and Gothenburg International Film Festival next month.
MAMMAL will be screening on Wednesday 24th February at 8.30pm in the Light House Cinema. Buy tickets for the MAMMAL screening on the festival website.
