Barry Keoghan, star of upcoming release MAMMAL has been included in Variety’s BAFTA Next Generation of Talent Spotlight which highlights not only the nominees for the BAFTA Rising Star award but also ‘the ones to watch’.

Keoghan, who has just signed with William Morris Endeavour Entertainment (who represent Brie Larson and Ridley Scott) is named along with Manish Daval (The Hundred-Foot Journey), Ellie Bamber (Nocturnal Animals) and Joe Alwyn (Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk) as an up and coming actor to keep an eye on.

Barry whose future projects include Trespass Against Us with Michael Fassbender and Brendan Gleeson has also been nominated for the Audi Dublin International Film Festival Discovery Award and was named one of Screen International’s Stars of Tomorrow last year.

He can be next seen in Rebecca Daly’s upcoming release MAMMAL which he co-stars with Academy Award nominated Rachel Griffiths where he plays a homeless youth who develops an unorthodox relationship with a woman (Griffiths) who has lost her son.  Their tentative trust is threatened by his involvement with a violent gang and the escalation of her ex-husband’s grieving rage.  Both his and Griffith’s performances have been critically praised.

MAMMAL will be screening at ADIFF on Wednesday 24th February at 8.30pm in the Light House Cinema.
