Wildcard Distribution to take part in IFI Spotlight this weekend

Wildcard Distribution CEO, Patrick O’Neill will take part in the IFI Spotlight, a day-long seminar examining new Irish film and TV, tomorrow Saturday 12th April.

Patrick will be on a panel with Grainne Humphreys (Festival Director, Jameson Dublin International Film Festival), James Hickey (Chief Executive, Irish Film Board/Bord Scannán na hÉireann) and Sunniva O’Flynn (Head of Irish Film Programming, IFI) to discuss The Perception of Irish Film.

Other panels on the day will include The Year In Review in which Ed Guiney (Element Pictures), Rachel Lysaght (Underground Films), Gerry Shirren (Managing Director, Cartoon Saloon) and Jane Gogan (Head of Drama, RTÉ) will examine work in their own disciplines.

The new chair of the Arts Council Sheila Pratschke will also host a discussion exploring parallels across disciplines, featuring Irish Times journalist Bernice Harrison, Jesse Jones (visual arts curator), Roise Goan (theatre curator) and Eoin Purcell (publisher, New Island).

It’s set to be a great day of discussion and debate for film, culture and arts fans.

The IFI Spotlight will take place in the Irish Film Institute, Temple Bar, Dublin 2.
