Wildcard Distribution is delighted to be sponsoring the U15 and U17 soccer teams of Killinarden Community School (KCS) in Tallaght.

The school was heavily involved in the recent Wildcard release I Used To Live Here, the award-winning drama from director Frank Berry.  The film was developed and filmed in Killinarden and features mostly local people in its cast. It’s this feeling of a living community which gives the film a real air of authenticity, something that was very important to the filmmaker.

I Used To Live Here follows Amy Keane (played by Jordanne Jones, who attends KCS), a 13-year-old trying to cope with the death of her mother and the reappearance of her father’s ex-girlfriend, who experiences the temptation of suicide after witnessing the outpouring of love for a local suicide victim. The film takes a fictional look at how the idea of suicide can spread in communities, particularly among young people.

While the film is now out of cinemas, it will be released on DVD later this year.
