It’s Not Yet Dark, the award-winning documentary on the life of Irish filmmaker Simon Fitzmaurice who sadly passed away last month, is now available across Video On Demand platforms including Volta, Google, Microsoft, iTunes, Amazon and Sky.

Directed by Frankie Fenton and narrated by Colin Farrell, the film tells the ground breaking story of how Simon, who lived with Motor Neuron Disease since 2008, directed his first feature film My Name Is Emily through the use of his eyes and eye gaze technology.

The film had its world premiere at Sundance earlier this year where it was nominated for the World Cinema Documentary Award and has since screened at festivals across the globe including the Edinburgh Film Festival, the Sydney International Film Festival and the Galway Film Fleadh, where it won the awards for Best Irish Feature Documentary and Best Cinematography in an Irish Feature (Kate McCullough).

It’s Not Yet Dark was produced by Kathryn Kennedy and Lesley McKimm for Kennedy Films and Newgrange Films with funding from the Irish Film Board and Wellcome Trust.
